Artist's Comments

This little fox was very curious about what everybodyw as up to, but obviously cautious. The arctic foxes were horribly difficult to photograph, because they spent most of their time in high-speed motion of a completely random nature and with their back to you. Thankfully they did allow for SOME decent opportunities to capture their fluffy white cuteness of doom. This pose was held for about 1.5 seconds, but I was quick enough getting my focus and opening the shutter to get a decent picture.

So, the foxy wants to know, Whatchya doin'?

So cute! I love the foxies! They are the most wonderful, cute, cuddly, fluffy little balls of energy to grace this planet with their presence! Go Foxies! :#1:

Interesting toes... very long and finger-like on all four feet

They are actually webbed as well, and have fur on the bottom. This allows the arctic fox to have something along the line of snowshoes, so they can avoid sinking in the snow, and the fur protects their feet from the ice cold, and gives them better traction on the ice. I do wish that DA would stop with making people double-post though. :( A few people have been victimized by having their posts doubled.

The double post thing is likely my fault due to lack of patience... it said the page did not exist so I clicked "try again" and "repost form data" which effectively sent it again. I should have gone back to the message and tested if it is posted already. I have gotten into the habit of copying all my posts into notepad incase the get lost in transit

I had a pet White-tailed Jackrabbit and she had very long webbed toes and furry, pad-less feet-bottoms too.

I don't get to the zoo often enough to know the animals by name. You win. :)
